It was the good fortune and baland naseeb of london mumineen to commemorate the auspicious and solemn occasion of the Chehlum of Imam Husain AS with Mazoon-ud-Dawatil-Gharra’ Syedi wa Maulaya Dr Abdeali bhaisaheb Saifuddin Atalallaho Baqa’ahu-shareef. London mumineen received abundant barakaat in this historic first visit of Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB to London after being appointed to the Rutba ‘Aaliya, the lofty position of Mazoon al-Mutlaq. London mumineen offer alf shukur na sajadaat in Hazarat Imamiyyah Nooraniyah for this great ne’mat. London mumineen also offer shukur in the Hazarat Aaliyah of Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB for showering mumineen with countless barakaat in this historic visit.

Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB emphasised the great importance of attending the majalis of aal-e-Mohammed as it reminds one of the hereafter, which is the purpose of the impermanent creation of this world. He gave a unique example to clarify this concept to mumineen: when one is on a journey, he always keeps in mind his ultimate goal of reaching his desired destination, and he may stop at a hotel during this journey temporarily. However, it would be foolish for one to buy land and a house and spend time decorating it whilst only in transit towards an ultimate destination. Similarly, Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB narrated that a mumin should not spend all of his time focussing on this world and material gain, rather he should take as much as he needs from it, keeping in mind his ultimate goal of reaching Jannah in the hereafter.

Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB imparted pearls of insight from the ocean of wisdom of Ameerul Mumineen Maulana Ali’s AS sayings. He described each kalam as being a guide for a mumin who heeds the advice and maw’ezat contained within it. Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB narrated the kalam of Maulana Ali AS, that Iman is built on four pillars; sabr (forbearance); yaqeen (conviction); ‘adl (justice); and jihaad (fighting in the way of Allah). He then explained these pillars further by elucidating four parts of each pillar, and how each of these can be adopted by mumineen to live life in a way that achieves its purpose.

Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB then related these four pillars of Imaan to the musibat of Imam Husain AS and his Ahl-e-Bayt and Ashaab, and how they shone forth through Imam Husain’s AS actions in Karbala. He narrated the azeem sabr of Imam Husain AS when Abbas-e-alamdaar was killed by dushamno, and prayed the shahadat of Abbas AS with extreme fervour and sorrow. He narrated the qissa of Imam Husain AS and Imam Ali Zaynul Abedeen, when Imam Ali Zaynul Abedeen asked Imam Husain AS “Are we upon Haqq?” Husain Imam AS responded saying “Of course, we are upon Haqq.” Ali Zaynul Abdeen Imam AS showed his complete yaqeen, conviction and stated, “So then we are not concerned as to death.” Such is the conviction, the yaqeen of our Awliyah Kiraam. Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB narrated the shaan of Imam Husain’s AS jihaad, when he stood in the court of the La’een Yazeed and refused to give bay’at to him, offering him his sword instead. Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB related Imam Husain’s AS adl when he stood in front of the thousands-strong army of Yazeed with the Qur’an-e-Majeed in his hand and said that if they were to take a candle and roam the earth, they would not find Rasulullah’s SA grandson except Husain AS. Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB then prayed the shahaadat of the Ahl-e-bayt of Imam Husain, and the shahadat of Imam Husain AS with great fervour, walwalah, and sorrow. Tears flowed from mumineen’s eyes as one voice could be heard, Ya Husain, Ya Husain.

Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB bestowed precious pearls of dua upon mumineen, and listened to the araz of each mumin individually, giving pertinent and wise counsel. London mumineen felt as if they were talking to a loving, shafeeq mother, and were touched immensely by Syedi Mazoon Saheb’S AAB haneen and shafaqat upon them.

After majlis mumineen ate niyaaz-e-husain jaman, and had the opportunity to ask questions to Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB. London mumineen offer shukr in Hazrat Imamiyyah Nooraniyah for this azeem ne’mat, and pray for the long life of Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB in sehhat-o-aafiyat­, and pray that we may receive the honour and sharaf of attending majlis with Syedi Mazoon Saheb AAB soon once again. May Allah Ta’aala grant our Aqa and Maula Syedna Taher Fakhruddin TUS a swift fath-e-mubeen, and lengthen his umar shareef till the day of Qiyamat. Ameen.
